A True ‘New York’ Christmas Experience
The Christmas season is coming around the corner, so it is time to get into the Christmas spirit. One of the best ways to get into the true Christmas spirit is to go to New York City during the holidays. I decided to go to New York with my mother and my sister, and I can confidently say that the Big Apple did a phenomenal job getting me into the Christmas spirit.
Once we arrived in New York, the streets were bustling with people. We walked through the crowded streets until we reached Bryant Park filled with many large markets. These markets consisted of anything you could imagine: hot chocolate, candles, sweet treats, burgers, and more. You name it, they probably had it. We stopped at ‘Woops! Macarons’ and indulged on various flavors of tasty treats. We also stopped for some very delicious and warm hot chocolate suitable for a very cold day. Lastly, we had ‘Bao by Kaya’ which I can tell you, was absolutely delicious.
After leaving Bryant Park, we headed right over to Rockefeller Center to look at the famous Rockefeller Christmas Tree and to go ice skating. The tree was beautiful this year and looked amazing from the ice. The rink was quite crowded, but it was amazing to be ice skating with my family in the heart of New York City.
We ice skated for an hour or so and left to walk down 5th Avenue to look at all of the various eye-catching displays. We observed the many clothing stores in New York with their Christmas decorations displayed, as well.
Once dinner time had come, we were all hungry, so we went to one of the nicest restaurants in the area, ‘The Modern.’ It had a pleasant, lively vibe to it. The food was magnificent, as well. Steak Tartare, Endive Salad, Kanpachi, Truffle Tagliatelle, Dry Aged Duck and so much more. Everything was splendid. The dinner experience ended with a couple of mouth-watering desserts and an unforgettable cappucino.
We left with our bellies full and decided the best way to end a perfect Christmas experience in New York was to take a horse carriage throughout Central Park. We climbed our way into the carriage with cozy blankets while Christmas music played for all to hear.
We left New York with our spirits high, excited for Saint Nick to come by.
