Colts win in high energy opener against Holmdel
The Colts took on the Holmdel Hornets Friday night and came out on top, 66-49. With it being the first game back with fans, the energy levels were through the roof.
From jams to big threes, the game went well from all angles. Notable threes from upperclassmen James Durney ’22 and Will Bradley ’23 kept the Colts going.
Peter Noble ’24 and Justin Fuerbacher ’25 also put on a show in their first varsity games. Noble played great defense and Fuerbacher scored 11 points.
Durney led the way for the Colts with 13 points, while Joe White ’23 was right behind him with 12.
White sent the Colt Crazies into a frenzy with a jam late into the first half and made it to the highlight reel.
Promising defense and the explosive offense were the keys to the Colts’ victory. With the Colt Crazies on their side, it was a formula for success from the beginning. CBA starts the promising season with a win.
The Colts will continue their campaign and face Freehold Township on Tuesday.
