A pillar point of Pegasus Production Company is the teamwork between the different parts of the company. To make a show, all departments must go hand in hand to bring it all together.
The combination of light, sound design, set design and art design bring the image of the show to life. At the beginning of each production, members of art, tech and construction put their heads together in order to identify what they want to convey to the audience through what they put on the stage. Lights must work well with the clothes, the set must bend well with the lights and the clothes must fit right to adjust the microphones.
That is just what you see right on the stage, so much more goes on behind the scenes, literally.
Public Relations, Development, House and Events work to get you to the experience. Public Relations and Development work to let you know that there is an amazing production cooking in the Henderson Theatre. Advertising and bringing in funding allows all the other departments to work at peak performance, knowing that there will be people in the seats to see all their hard work. House makes sure that from the moment you walk into Henderson Theatre, to the moment you walk out, you are comfortable and safe. Events keep the company morale high with activities such as movie nights or Halloween candy parties!
How does it all stay on track? Management is the answer. Our incredible management team rises to the task of keeping everything running smoothly. But why is this so incredible? It is all run by students.
“Throughout this show-making process, every department works hand-in-hand with each other; this is largely due to the work of Management. Management works tirelessly to ensure that every department of Pegasus Production Company is connected and working together, especially as Pegasus prepares for its intricate and complex shows and projects. Management also encourages the sharing of ideas, which is vital to forming detailed and impactful shows.” said Junior Aidan Zagel, Pegasus Stage Manager, who has seen Pegasus from all aspects in his three years with the company.
It is said all the time that Pegasus is a student-run company, but take a moment to understand what that means truly. High school students step up to run different parts of the major company. These students are mature and trusted enough to take charge of this company, if that is not impressive then really what is?
The final tie is the cast, the cast exemplifies all the hard work and dedication from every department of the crew. The set is brought to life, the lights illuminate the scene, the sound allows us to hear the show and the art pops off the stage.
