Week 4 Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em

Week 4 Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em

After week three of football, there were certainly a lot of surprises. Jauan Jennings emerged as another star wideout from the 49ers’ stacked offense, the Panthers’ offense came alive with Andy Dalton starting at QB, and Rashid Shaheed slammed down to Earth dropping a goose egg. Let’s discuss which players will over and underperform, and who you should start and sit for week four of fantasy football.

Players to Start Week 4:

Khalil Shakir WR, Bills

Shakir has been consistent all season scoring 13, 10, and 19 points in PPR format over the first three weeks. He has established himself as the WR 1 in a high-value passing offense. Despite a tough matchup against the Ravens, their secondary has been weak, allowing the fifth most fantasy points to wide receivers so far this year. Shakir will be a solid flex option this week.

Aaron Jones RB, Vikings

Last week, Jones fell two yards short of having 150 all-purpose yards against a solid Vikings defense. Jones has also established himself as the workhorse RB for the Vikings so far and has been receiving a decent amount of dump-down passes from Darnold. With the Vikings offense firing on all cylinders, I don’t see Aaron Jones, or the rest of this offense slowing down anytime soon. Jones is a solid RB 2 against the Packers this week.

Kyler Murray QB, Cardinals

Murray and this Cardinals offense has certainly lived up to the hype so far this season. Murray had moderate performances in week one and week three, along with a QB1 performance in week two. You can expect another bounceback QB1 performance from K1 this week against the Commanders. The Commanders have the worst pass defense in the league with QBs like Joe Burrow and Daniel Jones tearing apart the secondary. Murray is in for a high-scoring and high-volume day, he is a must-start QB1.

Players to Sit in Week 4:

Jaylen Waddle WR, Dolphins

This sit has nothing to do with the talent of Waddle, but solely with the Quarterback situation in Miami. Tua being out has significantly hurt this passing offense. Skylar Thompson looked abysmal against the Seahawks and Tim Boyle most likely won’t be much better. Until this Miami QB situation is figured out, Waddle should be on the bench.

Rachaad White RB, Buccaneers

White has certainly struggled so far this season, averaging 2.1 yards per rush and having 11 points in the past two games. Not only this but White was out-carried by rookie RB Bucky Irving this past week. Although White has still had some involvement in the passing game, it is not enough to start him against the Eagles this week.

Michael Pittman WR, Colts

Pittman has not lived up to expectations this season, averaging a meager 6.6 points in the first three weeks in fantasy. Much of this has to do with the performance of Anthony Richardson who has completed less than 50% of passes attempted. Pittman has not been receiving a high volume of targets and will be touchdown-dependent for the rest of the season. For this week against the Eagles, Pittman should remain on the bench.
