Student Council Dance Wraps First Month of New School Year

On Friday, September 27th, the Student Council Dance allowed freshmen and sophomores to have fun and celebrate the first month of a new school year. While the Student Council Dance always draws a crowd, this year seemed larger than usual, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Student Council and faculty members.

All the students at the dance had a great time and used the dance as an opportunity to let loose, work on their dance moves, and meet new people.

“As a freshman, the dance is probably good for the spirit of our student body and it helps us unwind after our first month at CBA,” said Chris Grann.

This dance could not have been possible without Student Body President Nick Emilio and the enthusiastic members of the Student Council.

“This freshman class is ecstatic and made this a really fun night,” Emilio said.

While volunteering may be hard work, it can also be quite fun and a serves as a social outing for the dance staff as well.

“I volunteered because I didn’t go to my freshmen dance, so I wanted to come out and see what it was like,” said sophomore Liam Barrett, who serves as a Student Council class representative.

There will be more dances to come this year, so anyone that missed out on the festivities will have a second chance to either volunteer or jump in on the dance floor.

“This night was really a blast,” said sophomore Lucas Kostulias said. “Everyone was hanging out with their friends, having a good night.”
