Top 10 Anthems: Bruce Springsteen

With a roar of the crowd, Jersey native, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band took the stage at the Garden for possibly his most legendary performance to date. 

In honor of the newly released No Nukes concerts, we ranked the top ten Springsteen songs:

  1. Born in the U.S.A (Born in the U.S.A 1984)

With Born in the U.S.A, Springsteen formulates arguably his most famous song. The Born in the U.S.A album was his most commercially successful album and provided many great hits to the Boss’ collection, including this one.

  1. Rosalita (Come out Tonight) The Wild, The Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle, 1973)

Certainly, a high-energy concert song, Rosalita, pleases every Springsteen fan who hears it. Anyone who hears the iconic opening guitar knows it’s time to get excited.

  1. Growin’ Up (Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J., 1972)

A memorable song from Springsteen’s first album, Growin’ Up represents the younger years of the Boss himself. It is still a song that is remembered and popular all these years later.

  1. Incident on 57th Street (The Wild, The Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle, 1973)

Even though it is a lesser-known Springsteen song, Incident on 57th Street is a highly underrated masterpiece. Taking place on the streets of New York City, he tells a compelling story that is different from other songs of his. Fans go wild when hearing this song live.

  1. Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out (Born to Run, 1975) 

The beginning of Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out is widely recognized and beloved at every concert. All fans sing and the venue usually becomes louder than ever. Once in a while, Springsteen will even introduce the band during this song.

When Springsteen wrote Out In the Street, he hoped fans were “gonna have a good time” listening to it. Many fans scream the lyrics to this song every show, making it a very memorable song for any fan at any Springsteen concert.

Fans at any Springsteen concert always talk about the high energy of Badlands. Packed with a guitar and sax solo, it energizes anyone who listens to it and gets the crowd hyped at a show.

Jungleland, is a number one song for many, mainly because it features a show-stopping sax solo by the late Clarence Clemmons. This is one song that every fan wants to hear at their show.

  1. Dancing In the Dark (Born in the U.S.A, 1984) 

Arguably Springsteen’s biggest commercial hit, Dancing In the Dark is a song that any fan of music should know. It’s catchy and the lyrics are memorable. His biggest music video was this song, and Courteney Cox remembers dancing with him on stage to this day. 

  1. Born to Run (Born to Run, 1975)

Born to Run, is widely recognized as one of the best rock songs of all time. It is simply iconic to Springsteen himself, and whenever you think of him, you think of this song. With the perfect amount of sax and guitar, it makes number one on this list and is the best Springsteen song out there.
