Top Ten Anthems: Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons

The Jersey Boys.

Formed in the year of 1960, a short drive away in Newark, New Jersey, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons graced the 60’s with many great performances and many hits. It was very hard to choose ten songs in such an extensive catalog that the Four Seasons have.

Here’s the top 10:

10. “Working My Way Back to You” (Working My Way Back to You, 1965)

Starting off with a catchy riff and a nice melody throughout, “Working My Way Back to You” is my personal favorite. It is one of the biggest hits of the Four Seasons, and is a must-add to any 60’s playlist.

9. “Opus 17 (Don’t You Worry ‘Bout Me)” (2nd Vault of Golden Hits, 1966)

Beginning with the iconic horns, “Opus 17” is a fan favorite that truly shows off all of the voices of the Four Seasons, not just their high-pitched lead singer’s. It is a very catchy tune that provides joy with every listen.

8. “My Eyes Adored You” (Closeup, 1975)

“My Eyes Adored You” is one of a few songs on this list that were mainly performed by just Frankie Valli. It is also one of the many love songs on this list, and it tells a great story, like many Four Seasons tunes do.

7. “Sherry” (Sherry & 11 Others, 1962)

The big hit. The voice. “Sherry” is arguably one of the most well-known songs of the 60’s and for good reason. It’s a very catchy song with simply phenomenal vocals from the Jersey Boys.

6. “December, 1963 (Oh What a Night)” (Who Loves You, 1975)

“Oh What a Night” is arguably the most popular song by the Four Seasons. Led by writer and keyboardist, Bob Gaudio, it is a great song that is worthy of any playlist.

5. “Who Loves You” (Who Loves You, 1975)

Starting with the epic symbols on the drums, “Who Loves You” is certainly a tune loved by many. With great vocals and great instrumentation, it provides listeners with a thrilling experience from the 60’s.

4. “Walk Like A Man” (Big Girls Don’t Cry and Twelve Others, 1963)

With the iconic opening, “Walk Like A Man” is a fantastic song that tells a story. Like many of the songs on this list, it will get stuck in your head (in a good way of course).

3. “Big Girls Don’t Cry”(Big Girls Don’t Cry and Twelve Others, 1963)

Similar to “Walk Like A Man”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry” has a fantastic opening that sets up the rest of the song for success. One of the Four Seasons’ greatest hits, it is a great addition to a good 60’s playlist.

2. “Rag Doll” (Rag Doll, 1964)

Starting off with the simply perfect drum beat, and with the vocals that come in, “Rag Doll” is just one of those songs that makes a person very happy. Even with a sad song topic, the melodies are simply flawless in this classic tune.

The world’s best love song. “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” is one of the most popular songs out there, and it takes the listener on a journey. A perfect song for any romantic occasion, and it tops the list at number one.
