Top Ten Anthems: The Killers

Top Ten Anthems: The Killers

Arguably one of the best bands to see live in concert, The Killers have been gracing the stage since 2001.

With lead man Brandon Flowers and his fantastic voice, along with a fantastic band to back him up, The Killers have quickly become one of the biggest bands in recent memory.

In honor of the announcement that they would be headlining the Asbury Park music festival, Sea. Hear. Now. Here is the top ten:

  1. “Read My Mind” (Sam’s Town, 2006)

Kicking off the list, “Read My Mind” provides fantastic instrumentals, as well as great synths. Both work together to form a great tune that will get you to sing no matter what.

  1. “Human” (Day & Age, 2008)

A fantastic song live, “Human” is a classic Killers song that gets the whole crowd to sing along. With great instrumentals and a phenomenal voice, this tune is a must-add to any playlist.

  1. “Spaceman” (Day & Age, 2008)

Coming off the same album as number nine, “Spaceman” provides a very similar vibe while also making a very catchy tune. For this reason, it comes in it at number eight on this list.

  1. “Change Your Mind” (Hot Fuss, 2004)

“Change Your Mind” comes off of possibly the best Killers album of all Hot Fuss. A little on the mellow side, this tune mixes relaxation with rock ‘n’ roll.

  1. “Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine” (Hot Fuss, 2004)

One of the more popular songs, “Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine” is a fan favorite to hear live in concert.  Once again Brandon Flowers’ voice is the highlight of the song, as it is in many others in the catalog.

  1. “Somebody Told Me” (Hot Fuss, 2004)

“Somebody Told Me” is a fast-paced song that provides listeners with a taste of heavy rock music while still keeping the status quo of being a normal rock song. Yet another fan favorite that makes the list.

  1. “When You Were Young” (Sam’s Town, 2006)

One of the band’s most iconic and popular songs, “When You Were Young” is just simply a fantastic tune. It is an extravaganza of voices and instruments that form a perfect song.

  1. “Dustland” ft. Bruce Springsteen (Dustland, 2021)

Remastering one of their classics, The Killers created the masterpiece that is known as “Dustland.” Featuring the Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen, the tune is flawless on many different levels.
